Nursery~Landscaping~Houseplants

Mustard Seed Nursery and Landscaping started 8 years ago as a pipe dream.  We owned a piece of property that had old, rundown greenhouses on it.  I had been in my career for 15 plus years and i was getting burnt out.  My husband began to encourage me to try to use the  greenhouses.  I had never grown ANYTHING in my whole entire life.  I cant even say say how i came to decide what crop to start with, maybe it was the time of the year.  I chose Mums, i love mums.  That year i grew 300 of them.  This year, our 8th year, we grew 1200! (small number for some growers big number for me). That year i sold everything i grew and was so excited! The next spring i added vegetable plants and annuals to my growth chart.  Life went on, we keept at it all while trying to work regular jobs and keep the homefires burning.  We started to include schools for fundraisers, that went over well.  I began to take plants into a loca town( we we were located pretty rural) once a week.  That seemed to go well.  Life began to happen for us. My husbands remodeling career was taking a turn, covid happened, thats when the landscaping portion of our business evolved.  In year 7, we had many events happen that led us to sell out of our current location and move our sale area into town.  We bought another house, moved our daughter who is disabled back in with us, put up a new greenhouse and started over with our growing area.
